How to Install Procreate Brushes on iPad

Procreate brushes ship as .brushset files (a bundle of multiple brushes), .brush files (single brushes), or .swatches files (color palettes). All three install in under a minute, on any iPad running Procreate 5 or newer, or Procreate Pocket on iPhone. This guide covers all three formats, plus what to do when a brushset won't open, a palette doesn't show up, or your files don't appear on your other device.

Quick install (TL;DR)

  1. Download the ZIP and unzip it on your iPad

Step 1 — Download and unzip on iPad

Open your order email on iPad, tap the download link, and save the ZIP to Files. Then tap the ZIP once to unzip it.

If you downloaded the ZIP on a Mac first, AirDrop it to your iPad, then unzip in Files. Squarespace and most email clients deliver files as raw ZIPs that iOS opens with one tap.
